James Suckling

Innocenti Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2012

Score 95

This manages to be very deep, sweet and earthy as well as reraining a certain delicacy. A great combination of classical elegance and creaminess on the palate. The polished dry tannins come through at the very long finish, leaving you in no doubt. Drink or hold.

Innocenti Brunello di Montalcino 2013

Score 93

Aromas of ash, dark berries, black tea and hints of walnuts. Full-bodied, layered and juicy. A more fruit-forward and intense Brunello than some from this vintage. Pretty finish. Drink in 2020.

Innocenti Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2013

Score 95

There are some darker cherries and plums here with cocoa powder and baking spices, leading to a palate that has a punchy, dark-fruit impact and actractive drive into the finish. Drink or hold

Jancis Robinson – 8 January 2019

Innocenti Rosso di Montalcino 2016

Punteggio 16.5

Deep ruby with orange tinges. A spicy nose that holds back on the fruit. The fruit is also reluctant to come out on the palate. Slow build-up of fragrant cherry on the finish and with heaps of tannins. Very long yet slow and could do with another year in bottle. (W5)

Innocenti Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2013

Punteggio 17+

Mid ruby. Savoury and subtle on the nose. Great concentration offruit on the palate that is still quite embryonic- Gorgeous balance of tangy acidity and bags of coating tannins. Already hard to resist, but deserves more age. (wS)
